In November 1967, Jann Wenner published the first edition of what was to become the classic popular culture magazine, the Rolling Stone. The magazine focused on the music of the time, Rock and Roll, but it soon became representative of a generation. The Rolling Stone still exists 50 years later.
In his first Letter From the Editor, Jann wrote:
Jann used his talent on journalism to write about popular music. He also managed to capture the mood of a time and create a magazine that meant more to people than simply enjoying rock and roll.
So why is coffee like the Rolling Stone? Jann's letter speaks to some really important points that are still valid today. It's about striving to do more, it's about working hard, and it talks about creating something that people love without going on about it.
At Coffee Capsules 2U we sell coffee capsules that fit in Nespresso® machines. Without question they are some of the best that you can get. They taste really good. That's important.
Like the Rolling Stone, we want to do way more than simply write about music or sell coffee capsules. We want to do something different. We want to do good.
New Zealand is a small importer nation. We get bombed by big overseas brands. Like the All Blacks, we'll strive for our right to stand up and say "this is how the game should be played".
We've gone out and got the best coffee, we price it really nicely, we jump hoops to give you the best customer service and we even get down in the shed and recycle the capsules ourselves by hand.
We don't go on about it. We just do it. Because that's the Kiwi way.
Or as they said 50 years ago.
It may be winter but things are growing like crazy here at Coffee Capsules 2U. One word to describe it all? New! New coffees, new flavours, new ways of doing things. We're packing the good morning happiness train chocka full of goodies and will soon be stopping to unload at a station near you.
